After three years, I picked up The Lexus and The Olive Tree Vol. 2 with high expectations. However, my excitement quickly faded as I progressed through the book. Unlike the first volume, which was engaging and thought-provoking, the second volume lacked the same depth and excitement. The arguments felt repetitive, and the storytelling did not build up to a climax. As I reached the end, I couldn't help but feel that the book did not offer as much insight as its predecessor. Despite this disappointment, I still found value in some of its discussions, particularly about Korea's role in globalization.
