The Joy of Travelling

Travelling has always been a passion of mine. It allows me to explore new places, meet fascinating people, and experience different cultures. I believe that every journey provides an opportunity to learn something new. Whether it is a short trip within my own country or an international adventure, traveling always broadens my perspective on life.

여행은 언제나 나의 열정이었다. 여행을 통해 새로운 장소를 탐험하고, 흥미로운 사람들을 만나며, 다양한 문화를 경험할 수 있다. 나는 모든 여행이 새로운 것을 배울 수 있는 기회를 제공한다고 믿는다. 짧은 국내 여행이든 해외 여행이든, 여행은 항상 내 삶의 시야를 넓혀준다.

 

Many people say that travel is one of the best ways to gain knowledge, and I completely agree. Books and the internet can teach us a lot, but seeing things firsthand is an entirely different experience. When I visit a new place, I try to immerse myself in the local customs and traditions. I enjoy tasting different foods, listening to the language, and observing the daily lives of people from diverse backgrounds. Each trip becomes a collection of unforgettable memories that shape my understanding of the world.

많은 사람들이 여행이 지식을 얻는 최고의 방법 중 하나라고 말하는데, 나는 이에 완전히 동의한다. 책이나 인터넷을 통해 많은 것을 배울 수 있지만, 직접 보는 것은 전혀 다른 경험이다. 새로운 장소를 방문할 때마다 나는 그 지역의 풍습과 전통에 몰입하려고 노력한다. 다양한 음식을 맛보고, 그곳의 언어를 듣고, 다양한 배경을 가진 사람들의 일상을 관찰하는 것을 즐긴다. 각각의 여행은 잊을 수 없는 추억이 되어 세상을 이해하는 데 큰 영향을 미친다.

My Favorite Way to Travel

Among the many ways to travel, my favorite mode of transportation is by train. There is something uniquely comforting about watching the scenery pass by while sitting comfortably in a train cabin. In Korea, trains are convenient, punctual, and comfortable, making them an ideal choice for long-distance travel.

여러 가지 여행 방법 중에서 내가 가장 좋아하는 교통수단은 기차이다. 기차 객실에 편안히 앉아 풍경이 지나가는 모습을 바라보는 것은 특별한 편안함을 준다. 한국의 기차는 편리하고 정시 운행되며 쾌적하기 때문에 장거리 여행을 할 때 이상적인 선택이다.

 

Traveling by train allows me to see more of my own country. When I take a train, I can observe the changing landscapes from bustling cities to peaceful countryside. I enjoy talking to fellow passengers, learning about their destinations, and sharing travel stories. Unlike traveling by plane, where interactions are often limited, train journeys provide a more personal and interactive experience.

기차를 타고 여행하면 내 나라를 더 많이 볼 수 있다. 기차를 타면 번화한 도시에서 조용한 시골로 변해가는 풍경을 관찰할 수 있다. 나는 다른 승객들과 이야기하는 것을 좋아하는데, 그들이 어디로 가는지, 왜 여행하는지를 듣는 것이 흥미롭다. 비행기로 여행하면 사람들과의 교류가 제한되지만, 기차 여행은 더 개인적이고 상호작용이 활발한 경험을 제공한다.

 

Last month, I took a train to Busan with my parents. We traveled there to visit my grandmother, who has been ill. The trip was not just about the destination but also about the journey itself. I enjoyed looking out the window, reading a book, and having quiet conversations with my family. It was a meaningful and memorable experience.

지난달, 부모님과 함께 기차를 타고 부산에 갔다. 우리는 아픈 할머니를 방문하기 위해 여행했다. 이번 여행은 단순히 목적지만을 위한 것이 아니라 여행 자체도 의미가 있었다. 창밖을 바라보며 책을 읽고, 가족과 조용히 대화를 나누는 시간이 즐거웠다. 매우 뜻깊고 기억에 남는 경험이었다.

Exploring New Places

When I travel, I prefer visiting places that offer a lot of entertainment and activities. I love exploring lively cities where I can watch movies, go shopping, and try different types of food. Cities are full of energy, and there is always something to do, whether it is visiting museums, attending concerts, or simply walking through busy streets.

여행을 할 때 나는 다양한 엔터테인먼트와 활동을 즐길 수 있는 장소를 방문하는 것을 선호한다. 나는 영화관을 가고, 쇼핑을 하고, 다양한 음식을 맛볼 수 있는 활기찬 도시를 탐험하는 것을 좋아한다. 도시는 에너지가 넘치며, 박물관을 방문하거나 콘서트를 보거나 단순히 바쁜 거리를 거니는 등 항상 할 일이 많다.

 

However, I am not very fond of visiting rural areas. My grandparents live on a farm in the countryside, and while I love spending time with them, I sometimes find the environment too quiet. They do not have a computer or modern entertainment, which makes it difficult for me to stay engaged. Despite this, I understand the beauty of the countryside. The fresh air, open spaces, and slower pace of life can be refreshing, especially for those who want to escape the stress of city life.

하지만 나는 시골을 방문하는 것을 그다지 좋아하지 않는다. 나의 조부모님은 시골 농장에서 사시는데, 그분들과 시간을 보내는 것은 좋지만 환경이 너무 조용하다고 느껴질 때가 있다. 그곳에는 컴퓨터나 현대적인 오락거리가 없어서 지루할 때도 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 나는 시골의 아름다움을 이해한다. 신선한 공기, 넓은 공간, 느긋한 생활 방식은 도시의 스트레스를 벗어나고 싶은 사람들에게는 매력적일 수 있다.

 

One day, I hope to travel abroad and explore even more diverse places. There are so many countries I wish to visit, including Japan, France, and the United States. Each country has its own unique attractions, and I dream of experiencing them all. Traveling is not just about going to new places—it is about expanding my mind and understanding the world from different perspectives.

언젠가 나는 해외여행을 가서 더 다양한 곳을 탐험하고 싶다. 내가 방문하고 싶은 나라가 너무 많다. 일본, 프랑스, 미국 같은 나라들은 각각 고유한 매력을 가지고 있어서 꼭 경험해 보고 싶다. 여행은 단순히 새로운 장소를 방문하는 것이 아니라, 내 생각을 확장하고 세상을 다양한 시각에서 이해하는 과정이라고 믿는다.
